A few weeks ago a fellow Conservatarian who follows this page sent us an image of him and his high school classmates doing something not rarely shown in the media today, showing some common sense. This Conservatarian Johnathan Sundet did this by showing up to a gun march at his school but marching FOR gun rights with a few of his friends.
Below is a picture of Johnathon and his friends at the gun march with signs reading “guns don’t kill people, PEOPLE kill people”, “My second amendment rights protect your first amendment rights” and more.
Johnathan is the President of his high school Republican club which is doing pretty good even though he said his school is pretty liberal and in what many think is a mostly liberal generation.
When I asked Johnathan, what do you believe would be the best scenario regarding guns in schools, he said, “I believe there should be no gun free zones and I believe that teachers should be given the option to carry a concealed pistol.” Bravo Johnathan, GOOD ANSWER!!!
The hope on the horizon tho for Jonathan and even us older folks is it seems these students may not be the minority but just the vocal part of the silent majority. As PC culture runs amuck and the Democratic party grows more insane by the day it seems we are seeing more and more of Jonathan’s generation (Generation Z) turn to conservatism and libertarianism. Forbes wrote about this in an article titled “Why Democrats Should Be Losing Sleep Over Generation Z” where they worried about the new direction of our next generation saying…
According to research, Gen Z is more individualistic, more conservative both socially and fiscally, and they’re already making waves of impact on our political system. Gen Z, those born in 1995 or later, is possibly the most conservative generation since World War II, and it is worrying that their impact has been completely overlooked during this election. While our fears might be preemptive, we should not make the mistake of disregarding the intriguing yet also possibly worrying worldviews of Generation Z.
We can see this most likely being present in the 2016 election between Donald J. Trump and Hillary Clinton where it is thought Meme Magic helped a conservative outspoken outsider become President of The United States. Memers such as the ones on 4chan, FunnyJunk and Reddit most likely helped sway independents to like Trump more and like Hillary less, this is something Politico explored and the Washington Post reported on. Now it seems our young folks are using the same creativity used on internet boards to troll as to protest in real life for real good causes.
I am personally just so happy to see a fellow Conservatarian getting out in their community and promoting the message of liberty. If you have an event don’t be afraid to send it to me for coverage or to message the page. We are a community and I’d like to try to build that as much as possible. So whether that be you memeing and sending me something to post or by sending a story of you doing something cool like (Johnathan did) just let us Admins at The Conservatarian know.
Now, what do you think of Johnathan and his fellow students? And if you were back in High School would you be standing right alongside him? Leave your comments below and if you think these are some awesome kinds then share this article with some friends.
